Why do we ask that painting is performed after sanding.
We understand that painters prefer the freedom to drip on the floor and have it sanded off, but we ask that painting is done after our work. This is because our teams frequently back up during sanding and sometimes rub walls which can leave marks and dust tends to stick to fresh paint. Additionally, the guard on our edgers must rub against base trim or shoe in order to get close enough to it. Although this doesn’t damage the trim, it will pull and scuff paint, especially if it’s uncured. If painting is done before sanding, some paint touch up will be required and is not the responsibility of MHW. If walls and trim absolutely cannot be scuffed or are sensitive let us know ahead of time.
